Main Focus
The primary scientific focus of the office is on the management and analytical processing of digital data. Within this framework, research and activities are carried out in the following areas:
- Creation and integration of databases (DB, ETL/ELT)
- Development of GIS databases, services, and geoportals
- Data quality control (Data QA/QC)
- Documentation and creation of knowledge bases
The office also undertakes:
- Digitization of digital libraries and archives
- Conversion of statistical and tabular data into electronic format
- Digital optimization of work processes (RPA and workflow systems)
- Practical application of artificial intelligence technologies
- Development of geography-oriented large language models and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) AI systems
Additionally, the office focuses on:
- Creation of chatbots and intelligent assistant systems for the internal network
- Scanning the library collection and transferring it to a digital archive
- Developing a chatbot system based on the library database, providing search and response functionality
