Martyrs are not forgotten! Nov 11, 2021 | 11:11 / IMPORTANT EVENTS

Employee of the Institute of Geography named after acad. H.A. Aliyev of ANAS, researcher Emil Jabrayilov, on the occasion of Victory Day, shot a video dedicated to the memory of his cousin, the martyr of the Great Patriotic War, Captain Elnur Tofig oglu Jabrayilov.

Elnur, a historian by profession, always strove to ensure that his students grew up in a patriotic spirit, instilling in them a sense of devotion to the Motherland, love for the Motherland and attachment to the land. Living with the desire to become a soldier, Jabrayilov began serving in the Armed Forces as a soldier, and then became lieutenant. In the army, he was promoted to senior lieutenant.

Taking part in the April 2016 battles, the brave fighter, who showed special courage in taking the heights of Lalatapa, entered the Karabakh war, which began in September last year, and died at the entrance to the enemy's post in the battles for Fuzuli. The body of the martyr, who had been hiding for 3 months by the enemy, was found in January 2021 and buried in the Martyr's Alley in Goygol. May the earth rest in peace to him!
