Employees of the Institute of Geography named after Academician H.Aliyev of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan - General Director, Doctor of Geography Zakir Eminov, PhDs in geography Etibar Badalov, Ziyafet Aghayev and Hijran Tahirova took part in the Republican Scientific Seminar dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Honored Worker of Science, Doctor of Geography Professor Vuset Efendiyev.

The event, held at the Baku State University, was attended by the rector of the university Elchin Babayev, the dean of the Faculty of Geography Megsed Gojamanov, heads of departments, professors, representatives of specialized institutions, relatives of the scientist, who made presentations and memories of Professor V. Efendiyev.

It was reported that the audience number 421 of the university, where the current event was held, was named after Vuset Efendiyev.

General Director Zakir Eminov made a presentation on “Development of Population Geography in Azerbaijan” and donated to the University the book prepared by the Institute of Geography “Demographic Development of Villages in the Republic of Azerbaijan and Problems of Rural Population Settlement”, of which he is the editor.

The first graduate student of the scientist Hijran Tairova spoke and shared her memories of V. Efendiyev.

At the end of the event, the participants took a memorable photo together in the auditorium named after Professor Vusat Efendiyev.
