The last volume in Russian of the three-volume “Geography and Ethnicity of the Turkic World” of the Institute of Geography named after academician He. Aliyev of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Azerbaijan Republic has been published.
The presented volume of this fundamental work consists of 3 chapters and is dedicated to the Turkic states, Turkic-speaking peoples without state and national institutions. The author and consultant of the book is academician Akif Alizade, the scientific editor is professor Zakir Eminov.
The main goal of preparing the book is to provide encyclopedic information about peoples of Turkic origin, to enable each people to have certain geographical knowledge about other peoples. The book describes the historically established traditions, national costumes and languages of these peoples living on their historical lands in Russia, China, Iran, Afghanistan and other countries, but not having national autonomy, which indicates that they were formed on the basis of common Turkic characteristics. For the first time, information about all Turkic peoples is presented in one source.
