The trade union organization of the Institute of Geography named after academician H. Aliyev of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan held an event on the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8.

The director general of the institute, Professor Zakir Eminov, spoke about the position of women in society and the family. According to him, an Azerbaijani woman is a selfless mother, a faithful companion for life, a busy housewife, a competent businesswoman, a politician, an excellent specialist or a public figure who has taken her place in our society. The head of the institution congratulated the employees of the institute and wished them good health, success in work and family, calling women the adornment of our lives.

Chairman of the institute's trade union organization Kamran Ramazanly, deputy director, associate professor Zaur Imrani, head of the human resources department Rasul Ismayilov, chairman of the Women's Council Solmaz Rzayeva, senior researcher Luiza Salaeva and others congratulated and spoke about the successes and problems of the women of the institute, about the attention and care shown to them from management.

At the end of the event, the employees were presented with holiday gifts.
