On April 9, 2014, in the meeting of ANAS Presidium, Corresponding member of ANAS, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Ramiz Mahmud oglu Mammadov has been appointed director of the Institute of Geography named after academician H.A.Aliyev.
