Polish scientists - Professor of the Institute of Geography of the Jan Kochanowski University Dr. Maria Gorska-Zabielska and Lucyna Waceka-Kotkowska, Professor of the Department of Geology and Geomorphology of the University of Lodz, visited the Institute of Geography named after Academician H. Aliyev of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The guests got acquainted with the research departments and library of the institute. During the meeting with the management of the institute, the parties noted that the basis for signing a memorandum of scientific cooperation between the Institute of Geography and the above-mentioned universities in Poland had been created. The meeting continued in the assembly hall of the institute.

Professor Dr. Maria Gorska-Zabielska presented a report on "Scandinavian random boulders in northwestern Poland - geological heritage, preservation and promotion of geotourism".

Then the participants of the event listened to the report of prof. Dr. Luczyna Waceka-Kotkowska on the topics of "Geology and geomorphology of central Poland" and "Main geotourist attractions of central Poland".

The reports were followed by an exchange of opinions, which were listened with interest.

In conclusion, the parties exchanged books and souvenirs.
