A memorandum on cooperation in the field of scientific research, technology and education was signed between the Institute of Geography named after Academician H. Aliyev of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Grozny State Oil Technical University named after Academician M.D. Millionshikov of  Russian Federal State Budgetary Organization of Higher Education.

The event was attended by the Director General of the Institute of Geography from Azerbaijan, Professor Zakir Eminov, professors of the Chechen Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Geographical Sciences Umar Gayrabekov and Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Ibrahim Kerimov.

According to the memorandum, it is planned to conduct joint scientific research in the field of studying the dynamics of the geoecological state of landscapes of small and medium-sized rivers of the Caspian Sea basin, in particular, the Karachay basin of the Guba region, the basins of mountain rivers of the North-East Caucasus, Azerbaijan and Iran in the context of climate change and increased anthropogenic load.

According to the agreement, mutual assistance in the implementation of new programs, exchange of information and publications, organization of conferences and seminars, coordination of the educational process with scientific research, joint acquisition of new knowledge in the field of science, technology and education, as well as the creation of innovative products and services will be carried out using the relevant resources of the parties.
