At the meeting of the one-time dissertation council BFD 3.14, operating at the Institute of Geography named after Academician H. Aliyev of the Ministry of Science and Education, Turana Huseynova defended her dissertation on the topic "Problems of life quality of the population in the demographic development of the Greater Caucasus region" for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Geographical Sciences in the specialty 540301 - "Geography of the population".

 A decision was made by secret ballot to petition the HAC under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to award T. Huseynova the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Geography.
