The article by the leading researcher of the Caspian Sea Hydrometeorology Department of the Institute of Geography named after academician H.A. Aliyev MSEAR, PhD in Geography, Associate Professor Ulkar Makhmudova was published in the proceedings of the International Congress on Social Sciences, Innovations and Educational Technologies (5.ICSSIET 2024) in Bangalore, India.

The article "Assessment of the hydrochemical composition of the Kura River to ensure sustainable business management" shows that, based on the results obtained, all rivers on Earth contain chemical elements. It is impossible to find clean water anywhere. All river waters contain dissolved chemical compounds, and these waters differ in a number of characteristics.

Pollution of the Kura River water with radionuclides, chlorine, sulfates, hydrocarbonates, carbonates and oil products has exceeded the permissible standard in recent years. The introduction of biogenic elements revealed a high concentration of nitrogen-ammonium. All water contains 45 of 98 chemical elements. For these reasons, it is very important to know the hydrochemical composition of the Kura River.
