Head of the Department of Hydrology and Water Resources of the Institute of Geography named after acad. H.Aliyev of the MSEAR, prof. Rza Makhmudov took part in the XXVI scientific and technical student conference on the topic "Current problems of transport in Azerbaijan", held at the National Aviation Academy, dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the great leader's birth.

At the meeting of the Hydrometeorology and Environment section, co-chaired by Rza Makhmudov, the undergraduates presented about 19 interesting scientific reports on regional climate change and environmental research, especially aviation, as well as solutions to modern environmental problems.

At the end of the meeting, the professor spoke about priority scientific research in the field of hydrometeorology, climate change and environmental issues, thanked the undergraduates for their interesting reports and wished future researchers new successes.

At the end of the event, distinguished students were awarded special certificates.
