A scientific seminar was held at the Institute of Geography named after Academician H. Aliyev of the MSEAR under the chairmanship of Acting Director General, Associate Professor Zaur Imrani.

Head of the Department of Ecogeography, Associate Professor Anvar Aliyev made a report on the topic of "Strategies for Transparency and Combating Corruption in Science". Noting that Azerbaijan has adopted the National Strategy for Improving Transparency and Combating Corruption, the speaker drew attention to the fact that corruption in science leads to the destruction of the future development potential of society. Transparency and fair governance are necessary for the high-quality and sustainable development of science. To effectively combat corruption, it is necessary to carry out relevant public education activities, use the experience of other countries, establish cooperation with the media, international organizations and other partners.
