A meeting of the Academic Council of the Institute of Geography named after Academician H. Aliyev of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held under the chairmanship of Acting Director General, Assoc. Prof. Zaur Imrani. Having announced the agenda, Z. Imrani once again informed the employees about strengthening control over attendance, labor and performance discipline. He warned that there will be no concessions for employees who systematically break the rules.

A decision was made to publish the book “Geography of the Aghdam Administrative Region: Natural Conditions and Potential for Socio-Economic Development,” prepared by the Institute, with the amendments made after reviewing it.

In his speech, the head of the educational and methodological department, Museyib Yunusov, drew attention to some difficulties that arise when approving the titles of scientific topics for dissertations.

The head of the hydrology and water resources department of the institute, prof. Rza Mahmudov, presented information on the preparations for the publication of the book "Modern Problems of Geography".

The publication of the Geographical Atlas for grades 9-11 of comprehensive schools, prepared by the department of geoinformatics and cartography, was approved after the discussion.
