In accordance with the memorandum signed between the Institute of Geography named after acad. H. Aliyev of the AR MSE and the University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek, from September 27, 2024 to May 10, 2025, the Acting Director of the Institute of Geography, Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor Zaur Imrani, Scientific Secretary, Assoc. Prof., Leading Researcher of the Department of Geomorphology and Natural Risks PhD Saida Zeynalova, PhD Samira Abushova organized in-person and distance learning classes in various fields for students of the Faculty of Geography and Geoinformation Systems of the University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek.

Our institute's employees were awarded certificates by the rector of Mirzo Ulugbek University of Uzbekistan for their teaching in physical geography, regional countries and their natural conditions, natural resources, toponymy and historical monuments, spatial data modeling, tourism and recreational organization, economic and geographical issues of the Turkic world, as well as territories along the Historical Silk Road, geomorphology and fundamental geology, and more. Receiving these certificates is a step toward future research and work on monographs.
