Today, a ceremony was held at the Institute of Geography of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan to recognize the contributions of employees who have reached retirement age and concluded their professional careers at the Institute. Organized by Kamran Ramazanli, Chairman of the Institute’s Trade Union Organization, the event served as a meaningful expression of respect for scientists and staff members who devoted many years of their scientific activity to the Institute of Geography.
The event opened with a welcoming speech by the Acting Director of the Institute, Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Associate Professor Zaur Imrani. In his address, he emphasized that the scientists and employees who dedicated their lives to the Institute of Geography played a significant role in the formation and development of geographical science in the country, as well as in the establishment of scientific schools. Zaur Imrani noted that the rich scientific legacy of these scholars, their research, and the young specialists they trained continue to play an important role in the Institute’s activities and serve as an example for future generations.
Following this, certificates of appreciation were presented to the scientists and staff members in recognition of their many years of productive scientific and practical activity at the Institute of Geography.
Former employees of the Institute who participated in the event shared their memories of the meaningful and unforgettable years spent at the Institute of Geography. They spoke about the healthy scientific environment, team spirit, and traditions of mutual respect and cooperation that prevailed within the Institute. At the same time, the speakers wished the Institute’s leadership and current staff success in their future endeavors and expressed confidence that the Institute of Geography would continue to make valuable contributions to the country’s scientific development.
The event, held in a warm and sincere atmosphere, remained in the participants’ memory as a vivid example of the high value placed on the Institute’s scientific traditions, human capital, and the dedicated work of its scholars.
