The next scientific seminar was held at the Institute of Geography of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The seminar was chaired by PhD in Agricultural Sciences Azad Karimov. Scientists and specialists of the Institute, as well as doctoral students, dissertation researchers, and young researchers, participated in the event.
As part of the seminar, Nurana Yuzbashova, a junior researcher and dissertation candidate at the Institute’s Laboratory of Soil Genesis and Geography, delivered a presentation on the topic “The Impact of Different Slope Conditions on the Diagnostic Indicators of Mountain Gray-Brown Soils.”
The presenter provided detailed information on the objectives of the research, the methodology applied, and the results obtained from field and laboratory studies. The presentation analyzed the effects of different slope aspects and degrees of inclination on the morphological, physicochemical, and diagnostic properties of mountain gray-brown soils. Particular attention was paid to changes observed in soil fertility indicators, the characteristics of soil-forming processes, and the scientific and practical significance of the findings.
Following the presentation, extensive discussions were held among the Institute’s scientists. The speaker was asked various scientific questions, and valuable recommendations were provided for the further improvement of the research.
