On June 4–5, 2026, Head of the “Landscape Studies and Nature Management” Laboratory of the Institute of Geography under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Doctor of Geographical Sciences Mirnuh Ismayilov, and the Institute’s Scientific Secretary, PhD in Geography Saida Zeynalova, participated in a meeting with teachers and students at Masalli State Regional College.

The event was organized within the framework of the presentation of the “Gurshad” journal, of which Mirnuh Ismayilov is a member of the editorial board. Following the opening remarks by the college director, Rovshan Gurbanov, Mirnuh Ismayilov and Saida Zeynalova delivered presentations on sustainable development and environmental issues and answered questions from students and faculty members.

During the meeting, Mirnuh Ismayilov’s article entitled “The Geography of Masalli District”, published in the journal, was also discussed.
