A scientific seminar was held at the Geography Institute of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jun 11, 2026 | 02:06 / SCIENTIFIC ASSEMBLIES

   A new scientific seminar was organized at the Geography Institute of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The seminar was chaired by Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Professor Nəriman Paşayev. The event was attended by the institute’s scientists and specialists, doctoral students, and young researchers.

   At the seminar, doctoral student Sevar Kazımova from the “Tourism and Recreational Geography” laboratory delivered a presentation on the topic “Assessment of the Natural Tourism-Recreational Potential of the Landscapes of the Quba District.”

  The presentation analyzed the rich natural-geographical conditions, landscape diversity, tourism and recreational resources of the Quba district. Methods for assessing the region’s natural tourism potential and the obtained results were also presented. In addition, detailed information was provided on the efficient use of the district’s tourism opportunities, the protection of ecological balance, and the prospects for sustainable tourism development.

  After the presentation, extensive scientific discussions were held on the topic. The institute’s scientists asked various questions to the doctoral student, and the scientific-practical importance of the research was highly appreciated. Finally, valuable suggestions and recommendations were made regarding further improvement of the work, expansion of the methodological base, and application of the obtained results.

  The scientific seminar was remembered for its mutual exchange of ideas and productive discussions.
