On September 16, 2026, an expanded preliminary discussion was held at the Institute of Geography of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the dissertation prepared by Dilbar Mammadova, a PhD student at the Laboratory of Geopolitics and Economic Geography, on the topic “Geographical Problems of the Territorial Organization of Agriculture in the Gazakh-Tovuz Economic Region.” The scientific supervisor of the doctoral student is Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Associate Professor Nariman Pashayev.

During the discussion, the main findings of the scientific research conducted by the applicant were presented, followed by an extensive exchange of views on the relevance, scientific novelty, theoretical and practical significance of the dissertation.

During the scientific discussion, participants expressed their opinions and suggestions regarding the dissertation, and the questions addressed to the author were answered in detail.

At the conclusion of the discussion, it was noted that the scientific level of the research was satisfactory, and it was considered appropriate to submit Dilbar Mammadova’s dissertation entitled “Geographical Problems of the Territorial Organization of Agriculture in the Gazakh-Tovuz Economic Region” for the next stage.
