In the publishing house “MAKSPRESS” of the Moscow State University have been published a monograph “Eco-geomorphological danger and risk in the Caucasus (within Azerbaijan)” written by Corresonding member of ANAS, prof. Elbrus Alizade, Deputy Director of the Institute of Geography named after H.Aliyev and associate professor, PhD Sitara Tarixazer.
In the monograph, have been developed dangerous naturel and anthropogenic geomorphological processes in the Caucasus, their assessment and eco-geomorphological problems associated with the management of created risk, has been carried out an eco-geomorphological zoning of the study area in danger.
In this work, an essential attention is paid to anthropogenic pressure on eco-geomorphosystems and on its result as transformation of modern landscape –geomorphological geosystems, landslides, avalanches, floods and so on. Are analysed results of the distribution on the terrain of the origine and dynamics of dangerous geomorphological processes. The problem of the study of sustainable development of mountain geosystems has been analysed in condition of increased risk and danger with modern methods and techniques.
