Employees of the Department of Soil of the Institute of Geography named after acad. H.Aliyev of ANAS- head of department, PhD on agrarian questions Ismayil Guliyev and PhD in geography Taira Salmanova- have been on the expedition from September 5 to 14 in connection with the research of the soil in the lowland plains of Sumgayitchay-Atachay.

Scientists conducted interesting field studies related to the state of the soil cover of given geographic area at present and to the future of lands irrigated recently.

The results, which will be obtained in the near future, will allow more rational and correct use of these lands.
