The following plan of research works is approved for 2018 at Scientific Council of the Institute of Geography named after acad. H. Aliyev of ANAS under the chairmanship of academician Ramiz Mammadov:

“Investigation of toponyms of Azerbaijan low-lying regions”.

Head of works - PhD Mahira Abbasova.

“Study of landscape and demographic indicators of the Greater Caucasus”.

Head of works - Shamil Azizov.

Monograph “Ecogeomorphology of Azerbaijan”. Head of works - Doctor of sciences in Geography Huseyn Khalilov.

Then the chairman of the trade union committee, PhD Habil Haqverdiyev reported on the meeting in the conference hall on January 19, dedicated to the 28th anniversary of the bloody January events.
