The book "Problem of the light industry territorial organization in Azerbaijan" has been published by the Institute of Geography named after acad. H.Aliyev of ANAS.

The book, edited by academician Ramiz Mammadov, studied the location of the light industry in the economy structure of Azerbaijan, the basic principles of its location. The main stages of the development of light industry during the historical periods have been investigated in terms of economic and geography as well as the influence of agriculture on the territorial organization of light industry facilities.

The place of the industry in the complex of the agrarian industry was studied and a deep analysis of the base of natural and chemical raw materials was carried out.

At the same time, theoretically and methodologically justified assessment of the regional and geographical problems of the territorial organization, branch structure, and features of the modern development of light industry was made.

The book is intended for high school students (bachelors and masters) studying economic and social geography, as well as scholars and researchers in this field, as well as a wide range of readers.
