25 April, the director of the Center of Radiometeorology and Aerology of the National Department of Hydrometeorology D.Sc. in geography Said Safarov made a report in the Institute of Geography named after acad. H. Aliyev of ANAS, at the Scientific Workshop under the chairmanship of academician Ramiz Mammadov about “Organization of measures of active influence on atmospheric processes and methodical instructions for their implementation”.
The speaker noted that according to the “Strategic Road Map on the production and processing of agricultural products, confirmed by the decree of the President of the Republic of December 6, 2016, provides for the creation of a system of protection from hail and interference in weather conditions for agricultural purposes.
In the plan of measures it is necessary to analyze methods of struggle against hail and to develop methodical instructions on their basis.
The scientist noted that at present, although in 45 countries measures are being taken against hail (ground generator, aviation and missiles), automated missile technology, Russia has a highly effective (80-90%) automated missile technology.
Physically, this technology is to accelerate the process of precipitation formation from future generated cloud volumes. The stimulation of atmospheric precipitation allows to destroy the formation process in advance and, consequently, to prevent the growth of clouds.
To this end, the technology provides for automatic detection and recognition of dangerous and potentially dangerous clouds filled with special radars, identification of future generated volumes and sending crystallization reagents to these volumes using special “ground” missiles.
The scientist believes that it is more expedient to fight against hail on the basis of modern Russian missile technologies. This, in turn, requires special equipment, infrastructure and training of personnel.
