A plan of research work for 2020 was discussed and approved at the Scientific Council of the Institute of Geography.

Scientific secretary of the IG PhD Zarnura Hamidova spoke about new topics for 2020, which are “Assessment of synoptic processes of the climatological resources in the economic and geographical areas of the Greater and Lesser Caucasus (2020-2022)”, “Natural and anthropogenic degradation and efficient use of soils (2020-2021гг.) in the low-lying Caspian ecosystems between Absheron and the Astara region” and “Prospects for the development of existing and new green spaces in the territory of Azerbaijan (2020-2022 гг.) ”.
