Geographer speaks on TV about air pollution Apr 22, 2022 | 05:04 / IMPORTANT EVENTS

The head of the department of the Institute of Geography named after academician Hasan Aliyev of ANAS, Doctor of Geography, Professor Rza Mahmudov was a guest of the Morning program on the ITV channel.
The scientist, who was invited to TV on the occasion of World Earth Day, gave an extensive interview about air pollution. He spoke about the history and significance of this day, the role of the ozone layer in human life, the impact of magnetic storms on the body, etc. Comparing the Khazri and Gilavar winds, the professor noted that the atmospheric pressure in the Gilavar wind decreases, and the oxygen density decreases. In the Khazri wind, on the contrary, atmospheric pressure rises and the density of oxygen increases. For this reason, patients with high blood pressure feel better. This once again shows that people depend on the atmosphere.
