On February 16, a training seminar on the topic "Effective Communication" was held under the joint organization of the Ministry of Science and Education with the Media Development Agency.

The main goal of the training seminar is to improve knowledge and skills related to the analysis of accounts of scientific institutions and universities in social networks, the proper organization of communication and other similar topics, as well as support for the formation of professional skills in the media.

The training-seminar was attended by employees responsible for public relations of scientific institutions and universities under the Ministry, as well as media representatives.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Executive Director of the Media Development Agency Akhmet Ismailov spoke about the reforms carried out in the field of media. Ahmed Ismailov said that the main part of these reforms is the organization of proper communication with society. Adviser to the Minister of Science and Education Elnur Nasibov, in his speech, noted that strengthening the connection of institutions subordinate to the ministry is one of the main priorities. The adviser to the minister added that since December last year, monitoring has begun in order to determine the needs of scientific areas. The approval of new statutes of scientific institutions is expected in the near future.

Adviser to the Minister of Science and Education Nijat Mammadli said that the main issue today is the popularization of science. It is very important to bring information to more facts, not to give false information, and serious steps should be taken to popularize science in society.

Vice-President of ANAS, General Director of the Institute of Information Technologies Rasim Aliguliyev expressed satisfaction with the organization of this training seminar. Rasim Aliguliyev emphasized the importance of strengthening existing relations between the ministry and its subordinate institutions, effective organization of communication work, and also noted the importance of such trainings. Then Chesarat Valekhov, head of the public relations sector of the Ministry of Education and Science, made a report on the topic "Analysis of social media accounts of scientific institutions and universities".

In continuation of the training seminar, the following shared their experience: Parvana Ibragimova, expert of the Media Development Agency on the topic “Media Literacy”, Veli Alibekov, head of the Communication and Consulting Company “Alibekov” on the topic “Building successful communication, proper use of communication tools”. The instructors Togrul Alekberov spoke on the theme "Effective Presentation Skills", Fakhri Agayev "Personal and Professional Development", Azer Nazarov "Principles of PR and Communication for Educational Institutions", as well as Rashad Jafarov, Head of Educational TV on the topic "Opportunities for cooperation with Education TV".

Discussions were held within the framework of the training-seminar, and answers to the questions of the participants were given.
