Leading researcher of the department "Demography and geography of the population" of the Institute of Geography named after academician H.Aliyev of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ph.D. Rovshan Kerimov visited Napier University, one of the oldest and most prestigious research universities in the UK, located in the Scottish city of Edinburgh.
The purpose of this visit jointly with the head of the department "Geography and Environment" of the Khazar University, Ph.D. Rovshan Abbasov was the study of the teaching and research experience of the society in the framework of the program "International Credit Mobility" of the European Union and holding a number of business meetings.
Azerbaijani scientists joined the network of scientists conducting research in various scientific fields and discussed scientific cooperation activities that could be carried out together in the future, and exchanged ideas with professors and teachers of the University's Department of Applied Sciences. They informed the teaching staff of the university about their research work. Azerbaijani scientists also took part in lectures and seminars held at the university on environmental policy and management, got acquainted with the educational institution's policy in the field of education and international relations, and received electronic access to the university's electronic library.
It should be noted that within the framework of the program this year a group of teachers and doctoral students from Edinburgh Napier University will visit Azerbaijan to conduct research.
