On June 14-16, 2023, the Executive Director of the Institute of Geography named after Academician H. Aliyev, Associate Professor Zaur Imrani took part in the "X International Symposium on the Study of the Turkic World", held in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

At the symposium organized by the Kazakh State Women's Pedagogical University, Z. Imrani made a presentation on the topic "Modern teacher: status, duties, and competencies." Z. Imrani, who took part in the opening of the event as an honored guest, wrote his wishes in the "Memorial Notebook".

During the visit, the Executive Director met with Professor Khairulla Zhanbekov, Director of the Department for Academic Affairs of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay. An exchange of views took place.

On the last day of the trip, Associate Professor Zaur Imrani met with the leadership, teachers and students of the gymnasium "Jana Gasir (New Age)", the winner of the "Best State Educational Institution" contest. After a mutual exchange of views, the Institute of Geography and the gymnasium agreed to sign a memorandum and hold online events. Later, a visual acquaintance with the summer school organized in the gymnasium took place.
