Elnur Safarov, senior researcher at the Institute of Geography named after Acad. H. Aliyev AR MSE, actively participated in the largest youth festival of Azerbaijan "Summer Fest", held in Shamakhi by the Youth Foundation of the AR and the IDEA Public Association.

During the “COP Week”, organized for COP29 volunteers, the researcher made a presentation on the topic “Problems of the Caspian Sea level against the backdrop of global climate change.”

He spoke about the impact of climate change on the Caspian Sea region, especially the problem of lowering sea levels, its forecast in the future, the impact of climate change on regional conditions, mainly in Azerbaijan, the consequences of global climate change, water resources and agriculture, as well as about the consequences of all these processes, especially food security.

Answers to questions and suggestions of YayFest participants were discussed in an interactive panel discussion.
