On September 27, the Memorial Day was celebrated at the Institute of Geography named after Academician H. Aliyev of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

First, a minute of silence was observed in honor of the bright memory of the martyrs.

The opening speech was given by the Director General of the Institute, Professor Zakir Eminov. He said that every year, September 27, 2020 is the day when our victorious army moved towards the enemy to put an end to the aggression of Armenia against Azerbaijan. Today is the Day of Remembrance of the Heroes-Martyrs of our country.

Chairman of the Trade Union Committee Kamran Ramazanli noted in his speech that September 27 is the most important day in the history of Azerbaijan. He said that this heroic feat of our army will be reflected not only in our country, but also in world military history.

As the chairman of the Soydash Public Association, the speaker also drew attention to the fact that the institution he heads disseminates to the public, both our compatriots and foreign countries, materials concerning the heroism of our army and our martyrs.
