An employee of the International and Public Relations Department of the Institute of Geography named after Academician H. Aliyev of the MSEAR, the patrol of the Azerbaijani-language Wikipedia Aida Aslanova spoke on the Real TV channel on the occasion of Wikipedia Day. In her speech, she spoke in detail about the importance of Wikipedia, its role in society and the work done in the Azerbaijani-language segment. Stressing that Wikipedia, as an open source of knowledge, plays an important role in education, science and the development of the information society, Aida Aslanova also spoke about the work being done to develop Wikipedia in the Azerbaijani language and improve the quality of articles.

The IG employee also spoke about the opportunities available to those who want to contribute to Wikipedia, the principles of writing and editing articles, and the importance of voluntary participation, and noted the importance of educating society, open knowledge sharing, and support for the development of Wikipedia. In conclusion, Aida Aslanova called on everyone to join Wikipedia, create articles based on reliable and academic sources, and contribute to the development of an open knowledge space.
