The trade union of the Institute of Geography names after acad. H. Aliyev of AR MSE organized a tour of the city of Guba for its employees to productively spend their leisure time.

The event, dedicated to the memory of our martyrs and Victory Day, began with a visit to the Guba Genocide Memorial Complex, created to inform the world about the bloody crimes of Armenian nationalists and to perpetuate the memory of the victims of the genocide. Participants toured the museum located on the memorial grounds and were introduced to the historical documents stored there. It was reported that the cemetery on the complex contains the bodies of more than 400 brutally murdered people, including, in addition to Azerbaijanis, Lezgins, Jews, Tats, and other nationalities who lived in Guba. The complex houses historical documents on the genocide committed not only in Guba, but also in the Salyan, Goychay, Shamakhi, and Baku districts.

Leaving the complex, trade union chairman Kamran Ramazanli left a heartfelt note in the museum's memorial book on behalf of the institute's staff and expressed gratitude.

The tour then continued with sightseeing in Guba, including Tengealti, the Tagly Bridge, and the Red Village, where staff members had conversations with the village's chief rabbi and other residents.

At the end of the tour, participants expressed their gratitude to trade union chairman Kamran Ramazanli and guide Ulvi Suleymani for an exciting tour.
