The scientific article “Magnetic Susceptibility of Soils in the Southern Circuit-Baikal Region under the Conditions of Paleocryogenic Hummocky-Depression Microrelief”, co-authored by Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Chingiz Gulalyev, head of the Pirguli biogeographic research station of the Institute of Geography of the AR MSE, was published in the prestigious international scientific journal “Bulletin of Soil Science of Moscow University”.
This article comprehensively examines the spatial distribution and genetic characteristics of magnetic susceptibility in soils formed under paleocryogenic microrelief conditions in the Southern Ring of Baikal. The study analyzed the relationships between soil magnetic indices and their physical properties (mechanical composition, structure, moisture regime) and formation conditions, and provided a scientifically substantiated explanation for the influence of paleocryogenic processes on soil profile differentiation.
