On 30 December 2025, diplomas and certificates were presented at the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to candidates who had obtained academic degrees and titles in various fields of science.

       According to the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission dated 26 December 2025, a Doctor of Sciences ( DSc) diploma in the field of Geography, specialty 5401.01 – Economic Geography, was awarded to Zaur Imrani, Associate Professor, PhD in Geography, and Acting Director of the Institute of Geography.

       This significant achievement of Zaur Imrani confirms the high level of organization of scientific research conducted at the Institute of Geography and is expected to contribute to the development of geographical science, the training of young researchers, and the strengthening of the scientific school.
