The compilers of the book are Professor Rza Mahmudov, Head of the Hydrology Department of the Institute of Geography under the Ministry of Science and Education, and PhD holders in geography Ziyafat Agayev and Movlud Teymurov.

   In a statement to AZERTAC, Professor Rza Mahmudov noted that this monograph, consisting of 8 chapters, has been prepared in accordance with modern requirements. The book has passed plagiarism checks and includes hydrographic data up to the year 2025.

    It was also mentioned that this monograph is one of the scientifically significant publications for the country since the 1963 work “Regime Characteristics of Azerbaijan’s Rivers” by Professor Saleh Rustamov.

    The scientific editor of the monograph is Professor Farda Imanov of Baku State University. The reviewers are specialists from the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency, PhD holders in geography Rafiq Versiyev and Rashail Ismayilov.
