On November 15, a joint meeting of the Scientific Seminar and the Academic Council of the Institute of Geography was held under the chairmanship of Academician Ramiz Mammadov. PhD Rafik Verdiyev made a report on the theme “Hydrologic classification system according to the water framework directive of the EU (on the example of the settlement Ganjachay-Zurnabad).

There was a discussion of the book “Геоморфологические очерки” (Geomorphological essays) by Dr. Sc. on geography Huseyn Khalilov, head of the department of Geomorphology and Natural risks for presentation to the publication.

Deputy Director for Science, PhD in geography Maharram Hasanov informed about the preparation of the book “География тюркского мира” (Geography of the Turkic World).
