At the next scientific seminar of the IG, under the chairmanship of academician Ramiz Mammadov, Elnara Ismayilova made a presentation “Tourism potential of Ganja-Gazakh economic - geographical region”.

Guided by the State Program for the development of tourism in the country, the speaker focused on the development of tourism in the Ganja-Gazakh region, climatic conditions, the use of cultural and tourist resources of the area, the current state of these resources. She presented maps, diagrams.

E.Ismayilova presented the classification of various types of tourism in administrative—territorial units and considered it important to develop in the region such types of tourism as ecotourism, health-improving, rural, winter, speleo tourism, etc.

Climatic conditions have been investigated in the report; the classification of climatic parameters was given.

The study included forest massifs, natural monuments, mineral waters, naphtalan oil, cultural resources, festivals and holidays, transport infrastructure, hotel facilities, their number, travel agencies, etc
