December 31, Deputy Director for Science, doc. Maharram Hasanov spoke about the significance of the Day of Solidarity of Azerbaijanis throughout the world.

He highly appreciated the merits of acad. Ramiz Mammadov in the successful end of 2018, receiving high estimation for the work done and development of geographical science.

“Solidarity begins with family, work collective, care and unity. The true proof of this phenomenon in our team was the refusal to celebrate the holidays because of the absence of our director”,- said M.Hasanov.

As in all spheres, in science too, it manifested itself.

So, Dr.Aliakbar Rasuli, who lives in Australia, applied for free training at the Institute of Geography for his young countryman.

M.Hasanov congratulated the staff of IG and wished everyone good health, long life, family happiness, great achievements and good mood in the coming year.

Chairman of the Trade Union of the IG, PhD in geography Habil Akhverdiyev stressed that the celebration of December 31 by the leader H.Aliyev, as the Day of Solidarity of Azerbaijanis throughout the world turned Azerbaijan into a global state that strengthens the national unity of Azerbaijanis around the world.

Chairwoman of the Women’s Council of the Institute, senior researcher Luiza Salayeva, and chairwomen of the New Azerbaijani Party organization, junior researcher of the department of problems of the Caspian Sea, Bibikhanum Ibrahimova, shared their views on this theme and noted Heydar Aliyev’s invaluable contribution in strengthening the solidarity of the Azerbaijani people.
