The monograph “Famous geographers and climatologists of Azerbaijan” includes prof. V.I.Figurovsky, a prominent researcher, founder of geographical science and climatology in Azerbaijan, corresponding member of ANAS, A.M. Shikhlinsky-researcher of heat balance and author of the atlas of our country, thoughts and ideas of prof. A.A. Madatzade, who laid the scientific and methodological foundations of meteo-synoptic processes in Azerbaijan and developed their genetic classification, and prof. J.Eyubov, who made a great contribution to the  development of complex climatology and agroclimatology.
