A meeting of the YAP primary territorial organization of the Institute of Geography named after acad. Heydar Aliyev was held on the occasion of the 101st anniversary of the birth of the great leader Heydar Aliyev and June 26 - the Day of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The director general of the institute, Professor Zakir Eminov, said that the history of the development of our national army is connected with the name of the great leader Heydar Aliyev. He noted that only after the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev came to power in 1969, thanks to his exceptional merits, the process of training military personnel began in our country.

The work carried out in the field of army building under the leadership of national leader Heydar Aliyev made it possible to create an organized and powerful army in our country and created a solid foundation for its further strengthening in the future.

The head of the institute said that thanks to the special attention and care of the country's President, Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the combat capability of the army has increased in recent years, the material and technical base has been significantly strengthened, and important steps have been taken to improve the social situation of military personnel.

Head of the Department of History of Geographical Thought and Toponymy, Habil Hagverdiev, Chairman of the Trade Union Organization Kamran Ramazanly, Leading Researcher of the Department of Geomorology of the Coast and Bottom of the Caspian Sea, Ph.D. by f./m. Nazim Akhmedov, Chairman of the territorial primary party organization YAP Mahbuba Fatullayeva and others spoke out and shared their opinions about National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the YAP party.

At the end of the event, the institute’s employees who had just joined the ranks of YAP were awarded party cards.
