At the Scientific Seminar of the Institute of Geography of ANAS, the leading scientific employee of the institute, PhD in geography Movlud Teymurov, made the report on the theme: “Use of internal water resources of Sheki-Zagatala economic region and sufficient water supply”.

The speaker drew attention to the fact that in 2004-2016, cultural pastures expanded at the expense of mountain-rained territories by 12.4% (23.9 thousand hectares).

He calculated the irrigation rates for various plant species.

It was noted that these norms were calculated at different stages by different specialists and relevant organizations, but for all plant species and for large areas. The new norms allow estimating the rate of watering for any plant species under any naturel conditions.

The researcher named the advantages of the proposed method.
